Unless otherwise explained, the following information describes how Sea Waves & Supplies d.o.o. handles your personal data. Sea Waves & Supplies d.o.o. collects, uses, and processes your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

If you make a booking in writing, by phone, or online, we process the personal data provided by you (name, address, contact details, date of birth, other booking data/preferences, payment details, rental data) for the following purposes:
Execution of Rental Object
Booking Firstly, we process your personal data to execute the booking and handling of the rental object. This processing is done to fulfill the contract concluded with you or to initiate such a contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)).
Postal and Email Marketing
Secondly, we process the personal data you provide for the purpose of postal and email marketing, where we regularly send you tailored offers via post and email. This is based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; “Internet marketing”). Our legitimate interest is to promote the sales of our products and services. We store your booking data (e.g., for special services) as well as your contact details (e.g., your address and email address) in our databases and use this data to send mailings and personalize the offers sent to you. The customization of the advertising measure is also based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) for the purpose of promoting sales and increasing customer satisfaction. Your interests have been taken into account in such a way that we only use standard parameters, such as your place of residence, age, gender, or previously booked rental items, for the customization of your recommendations, in order to present you with suitable offers, which should also be in your interest.
If necessary, we may require additional information from you to execute and handle the booking (e.g., data for visa applications or identification data for registration with public institutions). Detailed information about the required personal data will be provided to you regularly in your booking documents. The processing of this personal data is solely for the purpose of performing the corresponding booking service. This processing is done to fulfill the contract concluded with you or to initiate such a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you contact us through our contact form on the website, we process your data to the extent necessary to process your inquiry. Such processing is carried out either to fulfill the contract concluded with you or to initiate such a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) or to safeguard our legitimate interests associated with processing the respective inquiry or the legitimate interests of a third party (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) arising from the respective inquiry.
4.Promotional Offers
If you register as a recipient of promotional offers, whether in writing, by phone, or online, we process the personal data you provide (such as name, address, contact details, date of birth) to provide you with the requested offers via postal mail. This is done based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to promote the sales of our products and services. If you also contact us for the purpose of renting a rental object, these data can also be used to personalize the offers sent to you. This is also based on our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to promote sales and increase customer satisfaction.

5.Logging and Storage of Data
All accesses to our web servers are automatically logged in so-called log files (e.g., name of the requested file, IP address, access status of the web server, date and time of the request, used browser, etc.). These log files are only evaluated by Sea Waves & Supplies d.o.o. for statistical purposes. There is no disclosure to third parties.
If you book a rental object with us, we store your personal data as long as it is necessary for the execution of the booking and fulfillment of the contract. Furthermore, we store your data for a longer period if claims from either party exist (storage duration typically three years after the completion of the corresponding rental of the rental object) or if we are legally obligated to do so (e.g., due to legal retention periods, usually between six and ten years after the completion of the corresponding rental of the rental object). For marketing purposes (i.e., if you have booked a rental object with us or have registered as a recipient of promotional offers), we store and use your personal data for a duration of three years, starting from the last contact made by you (i.e., after the last rental conducted by you) and if you have not previously objected to the processing. After three years, we will send you a request to inquire if you still wish to receive our offers. If you decline our offers or we do not receive a response, we will delete your personal data from our distribution list no later than six weeks after sending the above-mentioned request. Please note that offers that are already in the process of being sent may still reach you due to possible timing overlaps. Retrieval of the dispatched content is no longer possible. Further processing based on other legal bases remains unaffected.
If you contact us through our contact form and have not booked a rental with us or registered as a recipient of promotional offers, we will store your data as long as it is necessary for processing the inquiry.
6.Disclosure of Personal Data
To carry out the processing activities mentioned above, we use internal and external service partners who process your personal data – mostly – on our behalf and according to our instructions. The processing of data in our customer/prospect system is currently carried out by Sea Waves & Supplies d.o.o. In case of bookings, data is transmitted to the respective service providers (e.g., rental partners). Such transmission is regularly necessary for the fulfillment of the contract with you (Article 49(1)(b) GDPR). Payment processing is handled through our bank. Additionally, we may use call centers for processing electronic bookings and support inquiries. Hosting of our data takes place exclusively in Germany, partly also by external service providers.
7.Security
During data communication in open networks, such as the internet, the protection of transmitted data cannot be comprehensively guaranteed and cannot be fully protected against access by third parties according to the current state of technology. Therefore, do not send us confidential data via the internet (e.g., via email) without sufficient protection. All forms on our website where personal data is collected are encrypted according to the current security protocol, currently TLS 1.3. All our employees are trained in data protection and are subject to a separate obligation of confidentiality. Our systems are secured against unwanted internal and external access according to the current state of technology.
8.Right to Object
You have the right to:
- Object to the processing for the purpose of receiving promotional offers and other advertising at any time without giving reasons, and
- Object to the processing of your personal data for other purposes in other cases if further legal conditions are met (see Article 21(1) GDPR).
By simply notifying us at one of our addresses provided above, you can also object to the processing and use of your data stored with us for the purpose of conducting future bookings. We will then block your data for further use upon complete processing of the last contract and delete it after the expiration of tax and commercial retention periods. However, please note that in this case, for any future booking, a renewed collection of all necessary data will be required.
9.Use of Cookies
When you visit our website office@seawavesrent.com, information in the form of cookie (a small file with configuration information) is stored within your browser software on your computer. This cookie stores information about your usage of the website and is utilized by Sea Waves & Supplies d.o.o.
